The pocket square is an accessory that gives a suit or tuxedo that extra something.  However, just like a tie, folding the pocket square can be just as tedious if it’s your first time trying to fold one.  As men, we tend make the simplest of task a little harder.  Well, here are two type of folds that will give any groom, groomsman, or even guest that little extra something.

The first fold is the One Corner Fold.  This fold will have a peak of fabric coming out of the suit pocket.  First, you are going to want to lay the pocket square on a flat surface with one corner facing up and one corner facing down.  Next, you are going to fold the bottom corner up to the top corner making a triangle.  Then you will fold the left corner in a little past the midway point of the triangle.  You will then do the same for the right side folding it in.  Finally, just tuck it into the pocket and there you have it, a One Corner Fold.

The second fold is a little easier and it is known as the Straight Fold.  The goal of this fold is to have a little rectangle peeking out of the suit pocket.  First, lay the pocket square on a flat surface and fold the pocket square twice so it forms a smaller square.  Then, fold the square so it makes a triangle.  Next, fold in the two long opposite points form another triangle. Then all you have to do is tuck in the square with the point facing down and now you have a Straight Fold.
